Capital City Technologies Spiral Methodology
Capital City Technologies has created a methodology that has been carefully crafted by combining our previous experiences with “Big Five” organizations and the best practices identified by the Project Management Institute (PMI). Capital City Technologies created our Spiral Methodology to promote a business process driven approach to consistently deliver client success and repeatable results. Our methodology was created to provide our clients and project teams a flexible model to rapidly implement or upgrade ERP applications.
The Spiral Methodology embodies four distinct guiding principles:
- A strong methodology is imperative to realize client success; without it, the project’s outcome is incalculable.
- The project approach is results oriented, ensuring that deliverables meet expectations and provide momentum for the next project phase.
- Key business decisions are made using a process driven approach, providing assurance that critical business processes are the factors that drive major decisions.
- To achieve a win/win result, the project approach must closely align with the client’s objectives; where differences lie, the methodology must offer flexibility.
Project Management - Capital City Technologies believes that effective project management is the key to delivering successful projects within the public sector organizations. Our Spiral Methodology combines years of program management, project management and 3rd party oversight and has been developed and refined to embrace the processes and techniques that have consistently resulted in delivering successful implementations and upgrades to Federal, State/Local and Higher Education clientele. Our Spiral Methodology is used as a guiding principle throughout the life of the project and provides clear direction, practicality, and maximum efficiency.
Risk Management - Risks and issues are assessed throughout the entire life cycle of a project. Issues are short-term items that can be resolved in the near future. Risks are longer-term items that must be identified and managed. A management tool should be utilized to track issue resolution and risk mitigation. Capital City Technologies will help your team mitigate the risks that are inherent in all ERP implementations and upgrades. Our project management services provide insight into what other customers have seen in the past and we use this information to create risk mitigation plans to help ensure the team is ready to deal with a specific threat if and when it appears. Our goal is to manage the project so the risks never even occur.
Quality Management – The quality of a deliverable is measured by the ability to not only meet the expectations of the client, but to exceed those expectations. To meet the quality expectations, we discuss and agree upon the outline and content of a deliverable prior to starting the development of the deliverable. Throughout the deliverable development process, we continuously meet with the customer and review the status and content of the deliverable, ultimately to ensure that the deliverable is at the quality level expected by the customer.
