Our Spiral Methodology is based on the six major stages of an ERP implementation or upgrade:

Stage 1 - Planning

              Step 1

Requirements Definition

              Step 2

Assessment

              Step 3

Project Planning
Stage 2 - Definition & Design

              Step 4

Solution Analysis

              Step 5

Design and Conference Room Pilot/Prototype
Stage 3 - Development & Configuration

              Step 6

Solution Development

              Step 7

Unit Test
Stage 4 - Acceptance

              Step 8

Training

              Step 9

Integration Testing

Support
  • Stage 1 Project Planning – During this phase we gather the information required to determine our customer’s business, application, and technology needs. During this phase we identify all of the critical components required for a resource loaded project plan. For instance: Roles and Responsibilities, Communication Plan, Current and Future State Processes, Reporting and Interface Requirements, Data Conversion Requirements, End User Training Needs, Change Management Challenges and Infrastructure Requirements. The result is a resource loaded work plan.
  • Stage 2 Project Definition and Design – The steps in this stage include designing and building the technical infrastructure, loading and assessing the delivered ERP functionality and a detailed Conference Room Pilot. During these steps we actually help the customer learn how to configure the application and how the upstream and downstream process flows impact each other. Additionally, customizations, reports, interfaces, and conversion programs are designed and functional specifications are documented.
  • Stage 3 Development and Unit Testing - During this stage the remaining configuration tasks are completed, reports and interfaces are built and unit tested and all data conversion scripts are built. We also design any future business processes and customized training programs that are required as part of this engagement
  • Stage 4 Acceptance - This is the time of the project when we perform the majority of the testing activities including integration, system, user acceptance and parallel testing. Additionally, the end users are completing their personalized training programs and the finishing touches are put on all future procedural documentation.
  • Stage 5 Delivery - During this phase we take the client through the go live of the applications. A great deal of time is spent tuning the technical environment and cleaning up any business processes that may need to be adjusted to better leverage the new functionality.
  • Stage 6 Post Production Support - Capital City Technologies typically provides functional and technical assistance for 4-8 weeks following the Go Live process. Our services consist of fine tuning the use of the application by the user community, debugging of functional or technical issues that may arise and optimizing the performance of the technical environments.
